Eric Amsler is in his 16th season with the HEAT and first as the team’s Director of Player Personnel/General Manager, Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Amsler has worked his way through the ranks, starting as the HEAT’s basketball operations intern for the 2004-05 season.

From 2005-07, he served as the Scouting and Information Coordinator. From 2007-14, he was the HEAT’s Scouting and Player Personnel Coordinator. This was followed by three seasons as the Director of Scouting Operations.

The 2017-18 season saw Amsler promoted to Director of Scouting and Assistant Director of Player Personnel. A year later he took on the added responsibility as an Assistant General Manager of the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

A two-sport athlete in basketball and football, Amsler graduated from Dickinson College (PA) in 1999 with a degree in Psychology.

Born and raised in Bellefonte, PA, Amsler resides in Miami Shores with his family.
